hi all just wondering if anyone could tell me how far the group runs are on thursdays.I am getting back into running after a short 2 month off break due to certain problems and lazziness.I belong to a running club and at the momment im just running between 2-4 miles at about 10min pace so im not an advanced runner.IM thinking once i get some more millage in then i could start fartleg and interval running.

marky42I'm a little hesitant to answer about Cardiff runs, but theirs are on Weds. In any case, if it's a different idea from Bristol's (Thurs) groups, I hope someone will correct me... This year Moti Bristol has enough people for three self-selecting groups. The most advanced is currently doing hills, so may do the least distance. 'Group2' is doing a bit less than 4 miles, plus maybe half mile jog there and again back. 'Group3' doing a bit more than 2.5 miles, plus the half mile there & back When there were only one or two Thurs groups, I'd say 2.5 miles plus to-fro was typical for everyone, for the first ~9 months. It's got longer, but it's an individual/group decision each time; and quicker people will double back to regroup, so it's very inclusive [I'm also surprised that this 'sticky' topic isn't locked - it'd be better if you start a new topic, so that people can see what your subject is] Cheers
