I have been to see a physio and had 4 session of deep massage on the top of my leg around my hip. Im feeling a lot better, started running again, very slowly tho, at the moment I am doing 2min walk 6min run 2 min walk When I run I get a niggling in my groin, there is no pain tho…. is this normal? Also my leg feels stiff in the day? and when i run. And has anyone got any training plan’s to go back into it slowly?

Hi Claire,
Hopefully we can be of some help. Firstly you are doing the right thing with regards to starting out slowly and with a mixture of running and walking. The important thing is to progress this slowly so that if you have any futher complications you can stop before making the problem worse.
The niggling could be due to the body compensating for what is going on in the hip.....also the leg stiffness you are feeling could well be a direct result of the deep massage....remember to give your body some rest and a chance to recover after deep massage work.
Leon (physio) offers a free 15 min consultation here at Moti Cardiff should you need further advice.
